Braham

Braham is a charming small city located in East Central Minnesota, often referred to as the "Homemade Pie Capital of Minnesota," a title officially proclaimed by the state's governor in 1990. The fame began with the legendary pies served at the local Park Cafe, a popular stop for travelers in the mid-20th century. With a population of approximately 1,769 residents as of the 2020 Census, Braham offers a tranquil, rural setting while being about an hour's drive north of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. The town celebrates its claim to fame every August with the annual Braham Pie Day, a large, family-friendly event that draws visitors with pie eating and baking contests, antique car shows, and, of course, countless slices of homemade pie. Geographically unique, the small city is situated across the borders of both Isanti and Kanabec counties.
