Isanti
Isanti is a thriving and rapidly growing community in Isanti County, Minnesota, located approximately 40 miles north of the Twin Cities metro area. The town's name has interesting roots, deriving from two Dakota words, isan ("knife") and ati ("camp"), which refer to the Santee Dakota people who once resided in the area near Mille Lacs Lake and the Rum River. As of a 2020 census, the city's population was 6,804, making it a "dense suburban" area that attracts many young families. A unique local point of interest is the Isanti Indoor Arena, which is home to the nationally ranked Rum River BMX track, a 75,000-square-foot, all-season facility, underscoring the town's commitment to community recreation.
